I think this is the last of the sodium/bad diet bloating going away and now I need to lose just about 4 more lbs to get back to where I was prior to the fork in the road. I am happy because I did not think the gain would drop so quickly but it will slow down from here. I struggled last night with temptation but I did not cave and that is a win.

I have my stress test tomorrow and I am nervous. My walks have stopped due to pain and work deadlines, plus I needed to make up the time missed due to my doctor appointments. The plus side is at least I will gain a knowledge of my heart health.

Today is the last super busy day of the week, it will be in the low 80s ~ a really nice day and I get to spend the last 1.25hrs outside! Plus, I started with watering the garden this am so that was also really nice!

Ah! It is good to be back on the plan! I actually enjoy eating the foods I have prepared. My "push" this week is Herbed Mushroom Rice - it has shiitake mushrooms, lima beans, brown rice, and rosemary in it. I love everything but have this aversion to mushrooms (stomach got pumped as a child after eating one from the ground, and so I find them hard to eat). It was my dinner and it was pretty dang good.

My struggle was real yesterday, just because of the way the evening rolled out. I work from home but stop at 5:00pm. I eat from 9:30am-5:30pm, which is why meal prep is so important for me. Usually Tuesday and Wednesday are my challenge days with soccer for my son starting at 5:15 - so I usually eat before I stop work. Anyway - I was not expecting the rush of last night. I asked my spouse to help start with the night time routine about ten to 5 and then I was able to meet my deadline and stop right at 5pm. I head out and help my son get himself organized for his bath while also getting my dinner heated. My son was in his bath, I had my bowl of food and my husband started getting SICK - like bad sick. I was literally cleaning the vomit bowl in between bites. I finally just gave up and stopped trying to rush to get my food eaten and dinner cooked for my son and care for my spouse. Is that my pattern? Sure - but in the moment it was right for me to take care of the others and sacrifice eating ALL of my calories. It is ok. I just need to balance it.

Anyway - a win because I did not allow that moment to become my excuse to eat after my scheduled time or something off my meal plan! Another win because the scale started to head back down!
