I met with a dietician today to see if I am on the right track re foods for my autoimmune disease as well as weight loss. I learned some cool stuff and got some more direction, definitely valuable:
My calories should be 1700
Protein anywhere between 70g-140g
Eat more animal fat and beef/lamb/fish often. Fat is obviously the biggest chunk of my daily cals with keto
Total carbs under 25g but less is better as with autoimmune even the veg process in the gut while digesting can cause issues
Keto urine strips won't work anymore as I am now fully keto adapted
Drink less coffee, 3 instead of 4 per day
Swap out almond milk for cream
Eat nuts very rarely and then only macadamias
Eat tomato, brinjal, cauliflower, broccoli and spinach sparingly
Stick to baby marrow, patty pans, gem squash
Not hugely different to what I have been doing, but small tweaks to help to heal my body along the way.
