Arg. I have been making an effort to get 20 minutes of light to moderate cardio at least 3-4 days per week, and have really been watching my calories. Maybe what is getting me is that I'm watching my calories but not paying as much attention to WHAT I'm eating and drinking. I will have to start saying no more to dairy and alcohol. I hope this lose 10 lbs in 10 weeks thing works out. Even if I only lose 5, if I am able to keep it off that will be a big deal for me.

I am still struggling with alcohol intake, which probably amounts to 25% or more of my calories, but I have been slowly cutting down. The holidays aren't helping much with that. The good news is that I have been working out a little more, doing light to moderate aerobics in the evenings and I have managed to get two yoga sessions in and a very strenuous ab workout. Overall, I am slowly building towards the lifestyle that I want which will hopefully result in getting down to my ideal weight.

I have been trying to lose weight since I had my son, and I have only teetered between 145 and 139 lbs. For over two years I have gone from extremely active to moderately active (doing yoga two - five days a week, taking daily walks, and doing some form of cardio most days during the week) to almost no activity (drinking alcohol every night and getting a walk in here or there). Nothing seems to make a difference. I always end up just MAINTAINING weight, getting fitter sometimes but never losing weight or inches. Very frustrating.
I have some friends that just went on a diet. They lost over 100 lbs each. I am not needing to lose that much weight, but I would like to get closer to my pre-baby size.
