Hi! I am FAT DAWN. I am a 47 year old MOMMA, WIFE and WORKING WOMAN. Seems my main goal has been to stay fat and unfit. Even when I learned in 2009 that I am diabetic, didnt change me. Oh at first I was GUNG HO! I was the Poster Child for my Endocrinology office! Hell, they even wanted me to do an interview on the news!! Yeah, well...started taking regular insulin, started gaining weight, then had a glorious car accident and I just gave up. I didnt care. All the responsibility is on me. NO EXCUSES. Oh sure, As my weight went up, I'd cry sometimes, try to watch what I was doing for a week or two... Then right back at it. No willpower at work when the cakes and donuts are always here. I just didn't care enough I guess. I realized lately, that I was in sad shape, I wasn't even checking my blood sugar.. I stopped taking my insulin shots everytime I ate. And I ATE IT ALLLLLLLLLL.
Okay so I want to live. I don't want to lose limbs, I don't want to have failing kidneys, neuropathy, go blind etc. I have a 21 yr old daughter in her last year of college. I need to set an example! what the HELL am I doing?!!! This must stop.
So here I go..Learned one thing.. instead of a quick fix diet,... push myself to exercise EVERY DAMN DAY and no weighing myself , except 1 time per week. PRAY FOR ME, I need all the help I can get!! :) xo
