Walked 3.1 miles this AM in the warmth and humidity. At least there was a pretty steady wind going, but even that seemed over-warm for the time-of-day. Doggies went earlier with DH.

I had really hoped to drop a pound this morning, but it was not to be. I'm so-o-o close to 148....and have been for a few days now....I thought today would be "the day." Oh well...probably didn't help that I needed a cheese stick late last night.

I took my vitamins and supplements too late last night, rather than taking them with dinner, so there wasn't much food in my stomach. That is always a bad situation and all those capsules on a nearly-empty stomach made me nauseated for quite awhile, along with some general bad feelings elsewhere. I know better than to wait so long. The cheese stick helped settle my stomach and I finally felt good enough to go to bed.

Today, I'm fine and will make a special effort to take all supplements WITH FOOD!!!

I so relate to that thought when we approach the scale and think to ourselves, "Maybe TODAY is THE DAY." I think the lower on the scale so often happens when we think it may be up. I remind myself that today's weight is a result of what I did last week - last month - and over the last year.

I feel so badly for you that you can't shed that pound - now that you are working so hard! But the lose will come - you just have to be a little more patient (easier said than done)! Funny you mentioned the effect the supplements have on you. I have the same problem but thought it was my imagination.

Wiener....in the early stages, I got used to a certain rhythm my body had as to how it lost weight and I could almost tell the day of the week that I would drop a pound! Now, however, I can't feel the exact rhythm and it's driving me a bit nuts - LOL! Gotta just relax, I guess, and realize that I can't control it to that degree. For some people, that would be easy to do....for me, not so much!

Buffy, the supplements normally don't create any problems for me. The only time I had a problem was when we (DH & I) were taking niacin as a separate supplement and it was the regular kind. Now, however, it's part of the multi- and it's the no-flush kind. So, I'm really not sure which one was giving me the problem.

WOW Sandy you don't have very far to go to reach your goal..and oh I can relate to taking pills on an empty stomach..Hope your feeling better today...:O)

Sometimes this effort reminds me of difficulties with infertility. We were married 9 years before our son was born. So many people said, "You're trying too hard. Just relax." The medical condition for which I was treated was called endometriosis so telling me to "just relax" was bad advice. Knowing your body and the rhythm you mention is GREAT. Don't give up. We will get "there" some day. Keep the faith!
