To figure my calorie allowance for the day. I take my weight (370) multiply it by 7 and divide that by 4. Then take a quarter of that and half it for snacks. So here is my 3 meals and 2 snacks calorie allowance for a typical day.
2590 total calories per day
647.5cal x 3 meals
323.75cal x 2
I gotta get my meal/snack planning on track.

Wow I tried that formula for myself and it said that I should only eat 875 calories which is totally unhealthy. Oh well. I try to eat about 1200 calories and execise regularly and I am still losing weight. Good luck with your formula.

Hi Scifygirl. You weigh less than 150 lbs. The book recommends you consult a physician, about a calorie budget, based on your personal needs. This formula is for the obese to the morbidly obese. Thank you for the luck...
