Well, so much for plans.
I joined the judo class this week, so I have to redo my workout schedule. Judo is on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7PM-8:30, and then Saturdays from 10AM-11:30.
Well, those are the times that classes are open anyway. I'm not sure how many times per week I'm going to go yet. To make my schedule even more confusing I've been volunteering on Monday nights with a program that helps non-native English speakers with their conversational English. I really don't want to stop that suddenly, so I might not do judo on Mondays for a while.
Moving on... My first class was last night, and I got beat up by a girl. Let me rephrase that. I got beat up by a girl that had an injured knee.
It's a really good workout. My legs are sore this morning from the warm up drills (including jump squats) and from so much breakfall practice (falling, then standing, then falling... for an hour). So far, I really like it.
randomness1) Judo translates into English as "The Gentle Way". I'm not sure what's so gentle about slinging a person over your head and slamming them onto the ground.
