if you are shooting for a specific BMI then I found an easy way to calculate your weight goal. multiply your height in inches times 0.025 then take that number (for me it was 1.68) and multiply it by itself (square it) so 1.68 times 1.68 for me. then multiply that number by your BMI goal. let's say 28. 1.68 times 1.68 times 28 equals your weight goal in kilograms. if you divide the kilogram weight you found by 2.2 you have your weight goal in pounds. Here is an accurate BMI graph by age and sex. just remember where the line is drawn between the colors is somewhat arbitrary and based on a judgment call where low risk ends and medium risk begins. the closer you are to green the lower your risk. http://www.smartbmicalculator.com/?ru=1 cut and paste it. there doesn't seem to be a way to post an actual link

If your bmi goal is 25 then multiply (your height in inches X 0.025) times (your height in inches X 0.025)......... Another way to say this is (your height in inches X 0.025) squared.............I need breaks so people catch one concept before going to the next lol...................now if your BMI goal is 25 then multiply the number you obtained by 25...........that is the weight you are trying to achieve in kilograms........ MULTIPLY that number by 2.2 then you have your wright goal in pounds for a BMI of 25.........use whatever BMI number you want as your goal between 20 and 28. I just used 25 and 28 BMI for examples.........if I said divide your weight in kilograms in the original post to get lbs I mispoke. Multiply your kilogram weight by 2.2 to get your goal in lbs.

Change "if you divide your kilogram weight by 2.2" to "if you MULTIPLY your kilogram weight by 2.2"
