So I have sprained hip flexor muscle - need to rest it, ice it and take relefan - had to cancel race I signed up for in Orlando this weekend - very disappointed but new there was no way I could run - have been trying to keep it up but the hip was just too sore.
Doctor said I could do exercise bike with no resistance so I went to gym last night and did an hour but can't believe how little calories you burn with no resistance - very frustrating - on the up side - knowing that I can't work out hard has made me really watch the points eating and I am taking the holiday weight off...

See?! There's always an upside!!! Glad the hip isn't anything serious and think of it this way, with rest, you will be able to get ready for another race at another time, no worries!!
