Back still hurting, but the ibuprofen every 4 hours helps. Usually, it would take away any pain, but for this pain, it just diminishes it slightly, which is still a help. Slept well so that's good. I'll be doing a few more things today, but will still try to get some rest later, with heat put on the area.

WOE still fine; managed the carbs yesterday, which is always a challenge due to the carbs (and true fiber) in the pancake mix. On Sundays, it's a challenge to balance out calories against NO formal exercise. So, between the 2 days on the weekend, I get a mental workout keeping my foods in line.

Will be attempting a grocery trip - or a trip to Big Lots - today.

Ibu is great for pain..but be carefull..it always makes my blood pressure go up..also the pain does as well...those carbs are every where... I didn't realize they are in alot of things you wouldn't think they'd be...congrats on keeping yours in check..have a great Sunday.. and hope your feeling better soon...

Thanks Bren. No shopping trips for me today. I was uncomfortable sitting in church today and then spent too much time after church bending, stooping, twisting, etc....all the things I really should be limiting. So, this PM, it's sitting down in a nice comfy chair with periods of heat on my back. Hope you're having a good weekend.

Hey Sandy, I was just catching up on your journals...so sorry I have been missing you all weekend! First of all, so sorry to hear you have been struggling with back pain...OUCH! Then, about having a plan to deal with all the candy/treats/etc that are heading are way, I think you are so smart to bring that up to think about. For me, the easiest way off track is to not have a plan on how to deal with situations. Being able to say no to myself is one thing, saying no to someone else & sticking to it is a whole different thing. I don't do trick-or-treaters so I don't have to worry about having to have candy in the house. I just feel that these these days, kids really don't need more candy, let alone from complete strangers. Things are just not like they were when I was a kid. Too many kooks & weird-o's out there! I much prefer the kids go to or have a party so they can dress up, etc. I could go on, but I hope I haven't offended anyone with that opinion. But, for the rest of the holidays I have been preparing by researching for recipes I can enjoy. I found so many. So, my plan is to make for myself & those around me who are low carbing it...(BTW, THAT number is increasing), to enjoy. Oh, & since I have a few more "followers", there may be even more than me making low carb stuff for family get togethers!!
