So yesterday i tried to have a fast day, went a little over the 500 calories but didn't do to bad. Hopefully i will get it under 500 next time. Cant wait for my weigh in this week..

Going slightly over is still fine :) 500 is just the target average so you can be slightly over and slightly under and it will be fine.

Oh Thank goodness, my meal plan is 527cal for today and there is absolutely no where else I can cut and its frustrating... lol

Skip breakfast and it makes the fast day much easier. This is why its ideal to add the rules of 16:8 Intermittent Fasting whilst doing 5:2/4:3/etc. Only start consuming food after midday and stop at 8pm(well I'm a little lenient and sometimes stop at 9 or 10pm). From 8pm until midday the next day you can consume green tea, water, coffee/tea(with sweetener to make calories low as possible), coke zero, etc. Basically liquids that will be low to zero calories during the 16 hours.

Thanks Yvattas86. I am going to try the rules of 16:8 but find it so difficult when I am at work. For some reason by 10am I am starving lol. Funny enough on weekends food doesn't bother me at all.

10am sounds great for morning tea :D It becomes easier with time. If a year ago u told me to follow all this stuff I do now I'd say you are crazy and there's no way I could do it but the body will surprise u! All u need to do is give it time.

I am Banting and find the 16 - 8 fast very easy. Never get hungry.

Intermittent Fasting worked for me to break weightloss plateau of 6 weeks. I eat breakfast at 11am then dinner at 7 pm. Just like SoniaJAJones above. Do this for 3 or 4 days or just on days that suits you....Absolutely no calories intake in between, and no snacking except bone broth with fat skimmed off, water and coffee/tea. However, you need to be fat adapted for this to work. I am banting and in ketosis, just like Sonia
