I was out with my dad voting, and he decided (as our family often does) to have fast food for a yummy lunch and dinner. Luckily, he has been working really hard to eat better himself to help his heart and his diabetes, so he was ordering pretty healthy (for him). I decided to do the same -- as healthy as you can get at McDonalds, pretty much, a snack wrap. But when they asked what kind of chicken, you would think I would have said "grilled," right? Nope -- CRUNCHY came screaming out of my mouth before my synapses could even fire to correct the thought.
Healthy habits take a long time to become habits. But still, credit moi for not ordering my very favorite McDonald's treat, a double quarter pounder with cheese, large fry, and large chocolate shake.
