Just in from a dance lesson. One hour of slow foxtrot, then quickstep to finish. I am knackered. I have a pain between my shoulder blades which needs some painkiller. Tramadol keeps me awake. Single malt helps me sleep. It's got to be a large malt then!

Trouble with ballroom is maintaining that posture! Worse for women I think as you're supposed to have your head turned to one side most of the time. Are you doing medals?

No. We just do it for pleasure. It was something we could both do together. The problem I have with posture is, when my lady wife gets to a difficult bit, she leans on my arms. I would have to be built like Geoff Capes to manage. I tell her, when we come in from dancing, I feel I have been wresting a wardrobe, up a flight of stairs.

Ah, yes, I know the problem. I hang on Mike's arms too when I get tired of holding mine up. The reason is, he's over 6 foot, and likes to keep his hand up around his ear level. I tell him to put it lower, but it just drifts up again. So I end up hanging on it till he gives in, lol.
