Ok -- I admit it. I bought a scale. Should deliver from Amazon by Monday. Luckily, my bathroom's available floor space is so limited that I have to keep the scale in the closet and only take it out for occasional weigh-ins. I will have to see if I'm capable of having a scale in the house without torturing myself with too-frequent weigh-ins. I know psychologically it is much better for me to weigh only once or twice a month and appreciate the steady downward progress than to hop on the scale constantly and worry about all the little up's and down's that are not really significant in the long run. Hope I can discipline myself in this way. If not, the scale goes to the Ark thrift shop sooner rather than later.

The scale can be a good tool, but you can become a slave to it. I know all too well...good luck to you...I am amazed at how wild fluctuations can be, so I try once a week, when I am sane and maybe twice, if I am really dying to torture myself...tee-hee!

On my case, I put the scale in the other bathroom. So I don't see it all the time.
I will weight once a week.

AL - may mean Alabama? Good luck with your plan to weigh minimally. Have you ever read an article called, "Why the Scale Lies" ? You could do a GOOGLE search and read it.

Yes sorry, I meant Alabama lol. We have an Ark animal shelter/thrift store. I had my husband whose 6'3 put my scale somewhere super high, so I need to be really determined to weigh myself...so far that hasn't happened.
