Well an interesting new development, or at least semi-new... the RLS meds I'm on, when I increased it to 3 a day, seems to correlate with the time period my charley horses began. The doctor thinks, seeing as my bloodwork in June was fine with all minerals & electrolytes, etc, that this is the only thing that has changed, therefore it could be the cause. Interesting.
So I'm back to 2 RLS pills a night. The dilemma then becomes which is worse, if 2 doesn't stop the RLS, but 3 causes calf spasms? The worst part is that the current RLS meds I'm on were the ONLY ones available at the time, as the other 2 or 3 were on back-order for several months. 🙄
Side note: I had to laugh when she suggested adding magnesium supplements, and me saying I'm already taking 500mg. Her response: Oh, well, then I guess you've already beaten me to it. LOL --- she didn't recommend taking more, so that's where we're at.
I'm done with getting older. I'm done with adulting now.
