Just had a panic attack, this is all too much for me. I am thinking of taking a break from here, but maybe not as I do get comfort from writing journal entries. I wanted to go for a walk but I am not allowed to go by myself at this time. So I asked my mum and she doesn't want to. I haven't even got any energy to do anything anymore. I will just have to accept the fact that I am not going to lose any weight and that I will probably gain weight. As a teenager, I just feel so much pressure to be perfect.

Looking at your pictures, I don't see one imperfection about you! YOU ARE GORGEOUS ALL AROUND!!! 😍 💖 If you feel like you have to be obsessive about your eating, maybe you could try to turn that into an obsession about eating healthy instead of being obsessive about not eating or how much you eat?? I would call that a win, win. 🤷‍♀️

Cris, I'm sure you're already aware of the 3, 3, 3 panic attack method but on the off chance your not. It involves looking around your environment to identify three objects and three sounds, then moving three body parts. Many people find this strategy helps focus and ground them when anxiety overwhelms them. It doesn't help the original issue but maybe it could be helpful when you feel like you are about to have a panic attack.

Hi Cristinaxx what is stressing you out, you feel you not losing fat fast enough or gaining muscle fast enough. Compliance is the science, I get great comfort from writing journal enteries as well but this is a journey so it takes time you are a teenager you are becomming more and more awesome each day, take a breath and keep going. It sounds like you have high standards for yourself thats good but give yourself time.Keep us posted.

Cristina, you say that you are in your early teens, I take that as being under 15, so here's the kicker to your plan to lose weight. YOU ARE STILL GROWING! If you are cutting back to less than 600 calories per day while you are growing you are going to delay or significantly reduce your body development. I was a very chunky 13 year old, probably about 20 pounds heavier than my peers and definitely the only one in my grade who was wearing a full support bra. I was right at 4.5 feet tall. By the time I was 16, I had grown out of the chunkiness, I grew to 5'4" and my tummy had flattened, my face thinned out, I had big boobs and a nice butt, small waist. I rode horses a lot and swam like a fish and spent my summer doing both. When I showed up for my first day in High School, nobody knew me though they had gone to school with me all of our lives. You are about to hit a growing streak and will probably outgrow any baby fat you still have on you, if you allow your body to grow the way it is meant to grow. Eat without guilt because you need the nutrition to reach your full potential, starving yourself at a key time frame for moving from a child to a woman is not the way to start your adult-hood. We love you, you are perfect already, in twenty years you won't give a crap about what everybody else thinks of you, why is it so important to you right now?

I'm sorry you feel anxious Cristina. Not being able to do what you want can be frustrating - especially when it's something that's good for you. There are other ways to exercise besides walking... dancing to your favorite music can be fun and help with the anxiety.

I know eating disorders are a mental health issue and I'm glad you're getting help. Would you want to consider getting into strength training and building muscle and forget about the scale?

@debrafrederich thank you for this lovely message, I am not sure why it has become such a big deal right now. But I have always felt insecure since I was young, I just never did anything about it.

@RN16 I am not sure, maybe if I lost more weight. I just have an unhealthy obsession with the scale x

@waynearendse just a lot of stuff going on in my life, but mostly the fact that I want to lose weight but don't want to be afraid of food. thank you for being so lovely!

Throw out the scale. Just focus on being healthy.

@cristin pleasure keep us posted. Yup getting over the fear of food is not easy for anyone. I guess you need to figure out where it fits in to your life,please keep us posted. Do you incorporate any muscle building into your day, do you have a ideal physique you working towards often these things help keep us grounded.

@waynearendse will 100% keep you posted. honestly, not really interested in building muscle. Although I do try and lift some weights. I am looking towards more of a slim physique.

Cool what helped me was I found a couple of physiques I liked and then eat and trained like them to achieve it. Having an ideal physique will help keep you grounded . Good luck on your goals also no if you are chronically under eating you will affect your hormones and feel really bad which is not what you want as someone who struggled with depression I could nt believe how eating badly affected it. Thanks for sharing your story with me and i look forward to you achieving your goals. From the pics I could see on your profile you look slim already that’s why I thought you wanted more muscle because I thought this person is slim. Chat soon

@waynearendse That's a great idea, and can definitely be done as there are many celebrities I look up to! Thank you so much for your support, and I wish you luck as well. Unfortunately, I have an eating disorder and body dysmorphia. But I am trying to slowly recover. I am also very sorry you had to go through depression I hope you are getting better. Talk soon!

Hey Cristinaxxs—don’t let anyone suppress your creativity and your growth! Go to YouTube on your phone or tablet and type in growwithjo She has an immense collection of FREE workouts: walking, cardio, & weights, and some that have dance moves in it. I have limited room. I exercise behind my couch in a space about 6 feet by 4 feet. You can do this! I’ve done it, and I lost 30 pounds. Commit to this and DO IT! It’s too hot outside now anyway. You mentioned you don’t have energy. You prob need more calories. Nutrient dense foods. Going below 1500 daily calories is not ideal, in my humble opinion. You need 1300-1400 just for basic bodily functions. You are sooooo pretty!! You deserve not to be so stressed and full of anxiety at such a young age. I know it’s hard as a teenager not to feel pressured to be perfect, but as a 55 year old, I can tell you it’s not worth it to constantly be so stressed. I pray you find the help you need and find some happiness.

I have a niece who is going through almost the identical thing. As many have said; really don’t let the pressures of others dictate your life. It really is not worth it. Living a healthy life is good but it must be balanced and not stress you. I do think if you had a few more calories your energy levels would pick up a bit. It is ok to eat chocolate, drink some alcohol, have cheese etc, just avoid the urge to binge. I hope you get through this time, I find running takes my mind off things (as I listen to music or audio books) and it releases endorphins, strengthens bone and muscle and gets you out in fresh air. All the best with your journey….you got this 💪💪
