Haven't gotten my period this month

hmmmm... are you in a caloric deficit? It's common to miss your period if you're undergoing major changes in your lifestyle, or if you're restricting too much.

I've read through some of your journal entries and see you've struggled with disordered eating. as a person who was anorexic and has recently started recovering from bulimia, I do know that losing your periods is a side effect of both of those. poor eating habits take a toll on the body, and the longer you deal with them, and farther into the cycle you get, the bigger the toll it takes.

Not to surprising if you have lost or gained a lot this month it misses with your hormones. If you lose you quickly or to much you my go awhile without one and have a really heavy one with a lot of cramps when it comes back... lots on Google about it. But if your worried check in with the "lady doctor" with you have time. I've had it happen before when I lost to quickly and skipped it for two months myself. Remember that it's really best to lose slowly rather the super fast to avoid extra skin... and to keep the weight off too. =) Oh and ignoring the the other possibly that you had miscalculation when having sex...a month ago.

Sweetie, your cycle will be messed up due to anorexia. This is one of the many side effects. Once you get your ED under control, it will return to normal. The sooner the better, as not having your cycle isn't good. Mine were messed up from PCOS. I had to take medications to force my cycle. A month or two is ok, but this is something you should bring up to your family doctor or ED doctor. Hugs hun.

When you eat, try to make sure they are “power foods”. Foods that help regulate your hormones. Fatty fish, chicken, eggs, EVOO, avocado oil, nuts, cruciferous veggies, cherries, basically whole fresh foods. Maybe research foods that help balance women’s hormones. Are you eating enough? Throughout my health journey this past 1yr & 7 months, I’ve learned from various nutritionists that going below 1500 calories can make things worse. It takes about 1400 calories daily just for basic bodily functions. Glad your mom is seeking a psychiatrist. It’s good to talk with professionals who have dealt w eating disorders. Prayers for you!! You NEED your period🩸.

Also 8 hours of sleep or more if you can. A good night sleep regulated hormones big time! It’s just as important as power foods.
