hi everyone, I am still going to record my food. But I am going to take a break from my dieting and still eat healthily but what I want and proper meals. It is so tiring eating 500-800 calories a day so I am going to try and get them a bit higher but not too high. My aim is around 1,200 tops for today! Hope everyone is well.

@Supergainz1 That is very insensitive and rude. I am most definitely not anorexic and I never asked if you think I am skinny or not. I pose in my pictures and I don't look "skinny" all the time. I think it is very crazy for you to be commenting on me who is a teenagers weight. I want to lose weight to help my confidence. That is my decision not yours. I don't mind some help but being rude is useless.

No I said you look skinny alone already. Losing another 16lbs will get you an anorexic physique

I honestly don't think it is, if that is your opinion that is fine. But if I lost another 16lbs I wouldn't look anorexic. It is considered healthy maybe I won't go all the way to 50 kg but if I do it is because I feel like I look like I can lose a bit more weight.

I agree Jon, it is just very upsetting to be determined to lose weight. And then being told if you do you will look anorexic.

Well that’s the thing you shouldn’t be trying to lose anymore. Given what you look like now. You must be comparing yourself to social media that’s portraying an unhealthy image. You’re in your growing stage, and being that underweight will make your bones brittle when you get older. Under nutrition and underweight is still unhealthy. So yea I think it’s crazy cuz from what I see you look good already. Why would you want to harm your health and look worse in the process?

Super- Everything you’re saying is valid. Nutrition is everything, especially in a developing period. Perhaps a gentler approach would be better received. At least she’s recognized that at her previous calorie intake, she was feeling tired so she’s decided to increase it. Win: win 🏅 I hope she keeps us up to date as so many of us seem to have concerns.

Super- honestly that sounds much better than what you said before. I just come from a family that always body shame me or tell me to lose weight, so then I got an eating disorder and sometimes it is hard to recover from it. Also, I am a fan of K-pop and everyone is under 50 kg so I sometimes feel like if I want to be happy I need to be that weight. But obviously, that isn't true. I don't want to harm my health and I am going to try and listen to what everyone is saying. Thank you x

In your growing stage you will do yourself an immense amount of favor by lifting weights as your bones will respond wayyyy better than after around 30. You don’t even have to be committed you can even lift casually. Muscle will help you cut fat much easier but I get it if you’re after the kpop look cuz they’re like lines.... might look good to some people. But to me it’s a weak n fragile physique. And learn to appreciate yourself more. I don’t think anyone here thinks you look bad. You look very good, soak that in. My advice is weight training. But I advise that for everyone

That is a good idea maybe I will start doing a bit! Thank you for your help and everything. And yeah, I guess they are very slim personally I like that but I guess it is not for everyone haha.

Cristina what super is saying is actually very constructive. He’s said a couple of times that you look really good as you are right now!!! He has a very valid point about lifting weights even lightly just to add some muscle. Muscle is very sexy even lightly defined. The bigger point is about protecting your body from damage that will prevail throughout your adulthood. I grew up in an era where anorexic models were the ideal. I’m 5’9. When i was 18 i was recruited for a modeling agency. I weighed under 130 pounds and they wanted me to lose 15 pounds. I tried desperately. Ate egg whites and grapefruits only lifted weights and ran and vomited from malnutrition and exhaustion frequently (not on purpose). Super super unhealthy and helped (along with childhood trauma) to contributing to a lifelong unhealthy relationship with my body. None of us want that for you. Sounds like you are very reasonable and consider all the information being given to you. 1200 calories is really low but much better than what you were doing for sure. Let us know if you dont mind after you have consulted with nutritionist (i think you had said in an earlier post you would do that). Only want the best for you from everyone. If your family is body shaming you as small as you are that has everything to do with issues they have and nothing to do with you. You are perfect. Just my opinion.

You are a Beautiful young lady. It is amazing that you are aware of the unhealthy viewpoint that those around you have of body composition. I am sorry that you have suffered with anorexia. You are more aware of body messages than many people ever are. Please don't take my suggestions as criticism. I think Super and others have some good suggestions. Maybe a softer presentation is in order. You look Amazing. If you feel like you want to be a more streamlined body type. I agree with lifting weights and possibly yoga. The toning and flexibility will give you a more willowy flow and strengthen your growing body. Focusing on fresh fruits and vegetables as well as lean protein will

YearOfHealth Thank you so much for everything. I am so sorry you had to go through that, it sounds horrible. I will try and eat more but I get full quite easily so lets see haha. I will 100% do some of the things you and Super have said!

@SYLONE 22 Thank you so much, I will definitely do the things you have suggested. I really appreciate your help it means a lot. I understand why some people are concerned but my calories are slowly going up from what they were a few weeks ago! :) Good luck on your journey as well x

Wow there was a little storm brewing over here. I'm sort of afraid to comment. Super gainz I respect you and I follow you and am helped by your posts. You've done amazing things with your body showing so much work and dedication to your health. I know you are coming from a place of deep respect and caring and I respect what you are saying. Cristina is learning what to do, she needs to travel her own path of healthy self discovery. As the peacemaker and calming jon wrote "she's upping calories win win" so she is learning and making informed decisions. I'm trying to learn how to communicate on the app most effectively and this current thread has got me thinking about what I should say. I usually keep to myself but I feel I have a lot to offer the world but I dont want be criticized or trolled by anyone. So my first reaction is to not interact but in addition to my physical health my mental health is important to and I'm working on it and by being more engaging in my life and the universe. This post is too long maybe I'm probably being to engaging now. Maybe commenting or more importantly making recommendations on appearance isn't ideal. As there is so much personal emotions people have about their body image. Probably Ok to comment if people ask what do you think of this picture? Just as I can't tell you supergainz you look really great do you really need all those muscles? Perhaps take it easy on the weights before you destroy all your precious cartilage and have terrible arthritis later in life. I could instead say what I know to be true and that is my cousin was a bodybuilder and it damaged his cartridge and he has long term knee, shoulder and back problems now he is in his late fifties as he said to me he way over did lifting with massive amounts of weight (over 500 pounds). I'm not a doctor and I don't know everything about you or how hard you push yourself and if it is even unsafe levels of weight for you and your cartilage based on your picture. You are an adult and hopefully making informed decisions. Cristina is not an adult so we as adults have a responsibility to help and be honest to her as many have recommended here; she can't starve herself when she's growing. It will stunt her growth and affect her hormones controlling her development causing permenant irreversible damage. But advice and opinions seem to need to be done not based on how she or any one looks but how it affects short and long term health. We all care and want to help each other. But how to help others is tough so many don't even try, I applaud everyone here for reaching out with true compassion and caring. I'm thankful we are all caring and are trying together. And everyone here has chance to clear up and restate any misunderstanding of what they are trying to say or to respond if something triggers a bad feeling.

Tusong if you told me straight to my face that I have too much muscles. I will probably crush your souls with a big smile lol... I like to hear what peoples honest thoughts are. Society as it is today I find to be too fake. People say one thing and says stuff behind your back. Not my kinda people and I stop interacting with those types. As for damaging cartilage, if you train properly. And not grind your body down you will actually strengthen it instead. I find that lack of knowledge about lifting properly, and adequate recovery is crucial. Cuz you could either be grinding your body down or building it up depending on your approach. My intentions was for her well being, and to make sure she knows she looks good already. Self appreciate herself. Stop my a reflection of herself sometime and just love her body as others sees it. Maybe others sees it and not compliment her out of jealousy. Or down playing her achievement to make her want to go more extreme. So no need to go to extremes to possible look worse on the outside and damaging. I still stand by what I said tho. Losing another 16lbs will make her look anorexic but that’s just my opinion, and it is just that. Mine.
