Happy Friday-Eve for those who have a long weekend! It's a little weird for me since I work at home anyway but it'll be nice to not be tied to being in front of the computer. Now to actually break away! I'm aware of how dependent I am on electronics for socialization and entertainment. I need to distance myself sometimes but it hasn't been a priority. If I add in people, I think the time on the electronics will naturally decrease so I'm putting a focus on that a bit.
Today I'm meeting a colleague for lunch. He's been out of work for what seems like forever and just got notice the other day that he's been hired for what sounds like a perfect fit and he starts Monday. So today will be catch-up and encouragement and celebration of his new position. SO glad for him. It's weird to say/think "colleague" when he's been management and I've been worker bee but truthfully, we're on the same level at this point and we treat each other as the equals we are. I've actually been able to help him out on some things and hope to continue. It's nice to be able to re-connect with people from time to time.
