21. Well, one up today, even though I did everything ok. I ran out of Taurine, which is a diuretic, so that may be the reason. Bracing for the next snow storm :-( Not fun anymore. Must start moving a bit....

According to your diet calendar, it doesn't look like you are following an Atkins WOE. Here's what I see: Too few calories Too many carbs Too much artificial sweetener Too many nuts & seeds Not enough protein Kefir is not allowed in induction phase (what phase are you using) Fruit is not allowed in induction phase Shrimp & avocado Yum! Omelets Yum! Cut back on Atkins products, I don't use them at all. I used to keep a box around, for emergencies, but they expired, so I didn't buy them again. Coffee - instead of artificial sweetener, I add cream. Will that work for you? Have you tried making MIMs? They are pretty good and you can change the flavors, so you don't get bored. I don't use artificial sweeteners, so I make savory MIMs. MIM = Muffin in a Minute Keeping the ratios in range is a daily challenge for me, but I have endeavored to figure it out :) Good luck in your journey :D

Yes, Lambie. You are right in every remark. It is not exactly Atkins. However, I am very familiar with Atkins dos and don't. I did try it in its pure form of induction, without worrying about calories, and I found that I was not losing weigh. I exchanged notes with some other women my age, and it seems that as much as I do not like to admit, calories do have a role, especially now, when I am practically not doing any exercize, so I am trying to make it into a controlled low carb plus the extras. Kefir is really only half of the carbs it is listed with on FS. I have researched it. I do need to dropt eh artificial sweeteners, absolutely. Yes, cream should do the trick. I will be more consistent. The MIM is really great. I used to make it every day for a while and then I stopped. I should get back to it. Thanks for the reminder. What is your recipe for MIMs and how do you change flavors? I would like to know. Best, and thank you for your advice! PS. More protein is a must. So true. Food for thought. Aurora

Lambie, to my "carb defense" just note that the "calendar" button that shows the calories and carbs and all that by date, has a little error. The carbs display, as much as I tried to tinker with the settings, is NOT the Net carb count, it is the overall carb count, so, that is why it may seem higher. Not that it is low enough, but still....:-) I hope you do not live the same winter we are having here in NJ... Aurora

Aurora, My winter is fine. I hear NJ is being hit hard. I used to live in Northern New Jersey :) I think I have a MIM recipe stored, I'll look for it.

The was no recipe for the chicken & kale. I just roasted chicken breast with spices & microwaved kale with butter and spices. I cut the chicken into bite sized pieces and mixed the two together.
