Rough week. Hosted my office Christmas party on Saturday evening. It was a pot luck. I made stir fried green beans in butter and garlic and the fixings for do-it-yourself tacos. Someone brought a spiral ham, sausage with peppers and onions, Chicken Piccata, and a Thai chicken dish. I tried to stick to the proteins but there was also lots of dips, chips, breads, and desserts! I couldn't help myself. Mango Margaritas were flowing as well as beer, wine, and Prosecco. Oh, well..
Still (yes, you heard it) having my period to boot! Got on the scale yesterday and was up 1.8 pounds! Trying hard to stay on track today. Have to get back to logging what I put into my mouth. It's the only way to stay honest. Need to drink a lot of water today to flush the bad things out.
I'm hopeful we can all get through the holidays without too much damage to our self-esteem in the process!
