OK - so our fire department sold t-shirts for breast cancer awareness month. If we bought a shirt, we could wear it with jeans on Fridays this month.
I got a small...which was still too big. So I busted out the sewing machine and took it in a couple of inches on the sides; cuffed the sleeves; now it looks pretty cute.
As I was packing up the car to leave this morning, my husband saw the sewing machine bag still out and asked if I needed that to go in the car, too. I responded, "No, I had it out last night so I could alter my shirt."
He replied, "You flexed, didn't you?"
Oh my word, I love this man. Have a told you all his new nickname for me is "guns"?
I'm running a breast cancer awareness 5K tomorrow. I've been off of my workouts for 2 days and I'm about to go crazy if I don't do something, so the run tomorrow is going to be a welcomed treat. Yes, a 5K is a 'treat' now.
I so love my life right now.

Bella, watch thrift stores and auctions you go to. I have picked up some great sewing machines for little $$$. Latest was a Neechi for my granddaughter for $23.00. I don't think it had ever been used, if it gad been just a few times. It is an older one with a bunch of stitches, buttonholer, almost all metal insides (the newer ones have a lot if plastic) so it will be a dependable workhorse machine. Do not buy a singer made after about 1965, they are made in Korea and aren't very good. I have 9 machines of my own plus the industrial quilting machine.

I did have a great run...despite the cold and rain. They had to re-route the race that a.m., and the route turned out to be more like 3.3 miles. I still finished sub-30! My time was 28:47. These are the best times I've EVER been able to post.
