i didn't log in my food yesterday. Life gets busy so quickly and I get tired so fast....

But I did well.

In fact, I find I did very well.

My nerves were frayed, especially during the evening, and it was the perfect reason (I'll not say excuse, because there is some medicinal value with drinking a glass or two of wine when nervous), but I thought of the different reasons why I shouldn't.

1 / it'll go straight to belly fat. (And it's been hard enough to lose)
2 / it's late, I don't have to deal much longer with the craving or my nervousness.
3 / I'll want more than 2 glasses, for sure.

And 3, an interesting connection I've made a few weeks back. I've noticed that when I don't have any fruit, I get a craving for wine. It may be the sugar has something to do with it. (it's a good thing to know)

A friend also told me, if I don't drink I eat junk food. So I went to the fruit store and got myself some pineapple and started to self talk to appease my nerves. It quite did the trick.

Although less fun than wine, it brings me closer to my goal.

Fruits is great and after you ate it you will no longer crave candy. Good job on avoiding the alcohol :-)

FYI. Alcohol may help you relax, but it can rob you of deep sleep and REM sleep, keeping you in the lighter stages of sleep. Alcohol can cause a breathing problem, and when the effects of the alcohol have worn off, you can wake up in the middle of the night. From National Institutes of Health (NIH)
