Hello friends
I’m looking for advice from runners. I started to run a week ago and I’m really motivated now ☺️
I have a nice path close to my home that is a 5km from my door back to my door.
It takes me around 30-40 minutes to finish it.

So my questions are
What should I focus on? the duration or the speed or the distance of the run?

i try to beat my time each time i run .. even if its only seconds that come off ...

Hi Pp, sounds like you have a perfect running route on your doorstep! I'm no expert, but what works for me is varying my runs- so I do one long slow run a week (an hour) and 2-3 shorter faster ones (30-40 mins). I sometimes include a few sprints in these, or even stop at my local outdoor gym for 5 mins- depending on how I feel. Not very scientific, but keeps it enjoyable, which keeps me motivated. Thank You ☺️ It happened once that I didn’t want to stop when I got back home so I just kept running and made it to 1h10 Mixing it up is a good idea thank you I will include sprints next time Listen to my body and challenge myself
