Today I went to the gym with the bf for the first time in months. I have always been more comfortable working out on my own. I like having control of my time/workout, but i think parts of the reason i don't work out with other people are insecurity and fear of accountability.

Whatever it was, I decided to be brave today and asked him if he wanted to go. We'd been talking about going together for weeks now but we always had a reason not to. This time, we got into our workout clothes and just went.

We did half an hour of cardio, then I asked him if he could teach me how to use some of the machines. He's always worried that I would get a back injury one of these days thanks to my job, so back strengthening was our first priority. We also did legs and arms. It was weirdly refreshing (and a lot less boring!), having someone there to work out with. I think I'm gonna ask him to do this with me more often, even though I'm already dreading watching the weight melt off him while I struggle with my own. Damn my shortness and his male metabolism! :D
