So, attempted to get running sneakers, yet again.
Spoke to an actual running shoe person this time. had him measure my feet. he came up with the suggestion of a small sized men's shoe, as it's hard to find the proper width/size for my feet in ladies.
and then (and this one was actually shocking)..he figured out that my feet aren't just a little uneven. the right one is almost 1.5 sizes larger than the left.
sadly, he had no suggestion for that, unless i can find a place to special order 2 seperate shoes, which is not likely to be found here in the armpit of pa.
so i went with a pair of men's asics that are built for people with high arches like me, that felt comfortable in the stores, that my heels didn't move around in. (because the problem with one shoe having to be far to large for the other one to fit is blisters on my heel all the time.) i guess i can try to pad the toe of the left shoe? any ideas?
going to attempt to get c25k in today... been running a fever all week, and this is the first day i feel semi-human, but of course wednesday is my busiest night of the week, so i need to get it in during nap time (which is like 20 minutes away) or i'm screwed. we'll see. =)

Interesting...not that your feet are different sizes, because that's pretty common, but that the running store wouldn't accomodate that. I remember Kingcole saying he had the same issue but his running store happily ordered 2 diff size shoes for him & didn't make him buy both pairs. I would guess the armpit doesn't have a lot of running store options, but knowing the type & size of shoe you need, maybe you could find them online?

I have a friend that has this problem and he finally got an actual running store to get him 2 diff size shoes and like Kingcole only made him pay for one pair, up until then he would buy 2 of the exact same shoes just in the different sizes and end up having to buy 2 pairs of shoes but it got expensive. Maybe try finding them online?

yeah. there aren't ANY actual running stores around here. i settled for the "shoe expert" at the sporting goods store.
i probably could find somewhere to special order them online, but i'm guessing that'd start pushing the boundaries of my tax return (yes, i'm still spending my tax return..muhaha.) budget. =)
((the shocking part was not that one foot was bigger, btw. it ALWAYS has been. but it used to be by less than half a size. the pregnancy musta been really hard on my right foot! =). ))
the fortunate part is, the asics are on major discount right now, so if it is really annoying, i plan on going back and just buying the other pair. it'll still be cheaper than the pair i had origionally planned to buy. =)
