ok, maybe in retrospect i should take some credit in this... after all they invented lots of stuff i CAN steer clear of... I need to stop buying the stuff!!!

I make mine. 50 grams of dark chocolate (usually 70%) melted with 2 TBSP of coconut oil then I pour them into pretty ice cube molds. approx 57 cals each and two of them fill me right up and kill my craving.

There is something about chocolate- i keep a bag of hershy kiss's in the freezer- makes them harder to eat so i suck on them- soo good as they melt in my mouth

I keep a 90% Lindt bar at home and at work. Every once in a while I'll slowly eat a square and thoroughly enjoy it. That's the only chocolate I will allow myself to buy. It works for me, doesn't always work for others.

Not buying it is the key to avoidance. I don't buy ice cream to bring home because I know I have no will power if it is in the house. If I want it, I go out and pay for a single dish. That's the only way I can control how much I eat of ice cream.

If you want to slow down the chocolate craving, try cocoa powder, not the sweet stuff guys :) You can put some in water like a chocolate tea and gets rid of craving too.

Cacao Powder (same thing) a little goes a long way. Can have with the coconut oil and make little candy like balls.

Maud. We should all be our biggest supporters. @Alex. Yum! @Fludder. I still have half a box of chocolate bars in the freezer from last years hunting season. :) Score! I agree with the high cocoa powder chocolates. 90% plus. They're a little bitter. Eat a piece with a strawberry. Mmmm. Very low calories and all the anti-depressant boost.

I don't think I want to sacrifice my periodic dark (70%) chocolate. No...I just don't...I'm not a serious candy hound but more a lava cake or chewy brownies girl. Oh, DRAT! Now, I want chocolate. (I fended off the feeling earlier today but I think I'll definitely be making myself a little something, something this weekend). And, I hear you, ClassicRocker. I bestow the chocolate discoverer with the same high esteem I reserve for the inventors of air conditioning, the toga and dolman sleeves. But the bra and girdle people (esp the products with underwire and boning)?!?!? Off with their heads! :D Lately, I've fallen in love with cocoa nibs too. I keep these goodies on hand but seldom succumb without a plan -- I'm more apt to be taken down by bowls of mashed potatoes and gravy!

All I can say is it helped me when my blood sugar dropped too low and helped my diabetes...Chocolate has never been an issue for me...
