I felt good for a bit because I did not feel as extraordinarily fat & I had objectively lost a few pounds, but yesterday I realized how far gone I have become when I tried to throw on my big capris which were actually the uncomfortably tightest they've ever been. Today I notice the many ways in which I can squeeze the fat on my belly.

The reality check is that it IS about my belly and other fat, which impede my ability to function optimally, internally and externally, in many ways. But NOTHING will ever change or stay changed unless I engage in this process daily.

In order for this to last, the celebrations cannot be in milestones. Enjoy them, yes. But the true celebrations are in adhering to good health every day. Celebrate the process because each day well-lived is its own beautiful victory.
