So still struggling with stalling out on keto. I remember 20 years ago shedding pounds like crazy but now it’s just creeping along. Poor sleep, ultra high stress with a dictator micro managing boss and lots of guilt feelings from all the house stuff that I can’t keep up with. But you know what? I’m sticking to my diet! For the first time In years! So many attempts for years but always cheating after hubby went to sleep. Not now though. And even though I’m only getting a semi-good workout in 2 to 3 times a week because my sh**y work schedule doesn’t have room for more, at least I’m not making excuses on the other days no matter how much I want to. And semi-good is way better than no good. Hang in there my brother and sisters. <3

I need to remember "semi-good is way better than no good". Thanks. I'm with you. 100% is not happening at this time. Good Job.

So, my experience is that it is way, way harder to loose weight when you are under emotional stress... and I found out there is a physiological reason, the body increases cortisol levels in response to stress. Having excess cortisol leads to weight gain (some say rapid weight gain). That’s why it is so hard - for me anyway- to lose weight under the kind of stress you are experiencing

Congrats on sticking with the diet regardless of other stresses! I keep telling myself the weight isn’t going to lose itself so anything I do has to help. Can commiserate with the job that gets in the way of exercise plans too. Good that you are doing as much as you can. I’m hanging in there right with you! Let’s do it!
