This time around I decided not to set any crazy goals for myself. I do have a goal to hit by my anniversary, but it's nothing crazy🤪 I look back on other times in my life when I was on my health journey and I set too many unrealistic goals for MY life. Maybe the pounds won't melt off as fast as a snowcone in the sun on a 95° day, but I am realizing that is OK!! Learning and accepting that is another victory for ME😁

Sounds like you have a very good outlook! No need to deprive ourselves of what we enjoy eating, it is a matter of portioning ourselves, and holding ourselves accountable for what we eat. We didnt gain overnight so we most certainly will not lose it overnight either. Have a great day, wishing you the best on your journey!

So glad you are willing to be realistic this time around. Usually the older we get the slower we lose. Plus there are usually plateaus to reset our bodies as we go down. Some stay on a plateau for a week, sometimes even a month. I am so glad for Vcabra12 to be able to not deprive herself of what she enjoys eating. Unfortunately for me I can't. Sweets and high carbs make me gain at even at a very low caloric amount. Maybe I could have done that years ago, but not now. My body has changed. You will have to see what works for you. Wishing you the best!

@Snowwhite Yes carbs and sweets are my weight gainers!! I love both of them equally and I have a hard time staying away from them 😬 I go to a wedding this weekend, so there will be cake there. I will have a nibble, instead of the 2 or 3 pieces I would normally devour 🤣 Portion and Moderation! I'm still learning 😊
