This journal is Dairyking's fault. He guilted me into it! LOL
Late Saturday afternoon here. I thought the sun was going to shine but instead we've had rain and snow earlier, and now the sun is trying to peak through the clouds.
I ate more than I usually do last night. Broke into a bag of muddy buddies last night. Ate some pretzel crisps, dunked them in bleu cheese dressing! Was much too full but kept going. It happens. I was super tired and decided to munch. It wasn't mindless. I made a decision. But I didn't count the calories. Today I've been back to being on track. But the night is still young!
Got some good news yesterday! DH is back to days beginning Monday. Last night was his last night of nights! Yay! Of course that makes my evenings not all my own but that's okay. Mom leaves tomorrow for California for a few months. I love having her here and always look forward to her return but I also look forward to it just being the two of us.
It's true, I feel like I'm in a good space these days. I think I decided that it wasn't worth it to hold onto my anger. The person or situation I'm angry about doesn't give a rats ass that I'm angry. Doesn't impact them a bit. So who does it impact? Me. It eats me alive. It consumes me. I don't want to growl my life away. And so I've been purposefully smiling. Purposefully stopping myself from self-doubt, negative thinking, and the like. It's a journey and I surely am just a toddler, walking the journey much like a drunk sailor, but I am walking it!
Exercising feels good. I often don't want to do it and yet afterwards I feel good, therefore I keep exercising. And the longer days of daylight are so wonderful.
Watching Atlas Shrugged with DH. Doing my laundry. Dinner will be simple. Life is good.
