This whole process seems very surreal so far. I know I don't typically journal, but I think I would like to start a little bit more, just to document everything. I've been on this new "lifestyle change" for about a month and a week, and so far I have almost lost 10 pounds (my official starting weight was 167). Its almost crazy to think I am no longer in the 160's at all. Even when my weight fluctuates up, it usually doesn't go up that far. I've been working out more than ever, training with my trainer Mondays and Thursdays and doing running/Zumba another two days a week. Two Saturdays ago, I ran my first ever 5k on the treadmill with a time of 47:27. Its a huge milestone for me, because back in August, I wasnt even able to run two miles under an hour. Mind you I hurt for DAYS after I ran the 5k, but I was so proud of myself. I'm doing my first 5k at the end of April, and I keep telling my trainer that I dont just want to finish it, I want to conquer it. I dont want to have to stop and take breaks or have to walk it. I want to finish with a respectable time.

A part of me doesnt actually believe that this has happened, or that it is happening. I thought I would be more proud of myself, or excited, but Im not. I guess its because I dont really physically see a change, its just the scale thats moving. I also dont want to get my hopes up to high, because usually if I got my hopes up, I would just end up super disappointed. I really dont want to end up disappointed this time around.
