Got so full from the chicken and cabbage at lunch that I didn't want anything more but did try the scone (2 net carbs). Made a batch of real choc chip cookies and didn't even lick my fingers (MAJOR win). It's all leaving the house today.
Going to spend the day with Momma at the hospital. She sent me a recipe for lowcarb scones which taste good but flattened out more than I'd thought they would. Bringing them and coffee for a treat. These shouldn't spike her sugar which hopefully will keep her from needing an insulin boost. The steroids are messing with her sugars really bad. The other day when I was there, the afternoon check was 345. No bueno.
