She explains the brain and the guts are reconnected by a nervous system, when the embryo was created, brain and guts were the same "organ", and research shows there is a bidirectional interaction between the two; the brain affects the guts, the guts affects the brain. medication for the mental health is administered to the guts. Very interesting. A quick look at chapter 11 to see the brain food recommended list with the BRAIN FOODS acronyms - berries - rainbow colors of fruits and vegetables - Antioxidants - include lean proteins - Nuts - fiber-rich, fish and fermented foods - Oils - Omega-3 rich foods - Dairy (yogurt, kefir and certain cheeses) - Spices (oregano, rosemary, tumeric, black/red pepper, saffron)
