HOLIDAY SURVIVAL CHALLENGE - Week One Continues...
I did so bad today. I'm probably okay calorie wise - but definitely not carb wise. My business class ended today and we have two people in the class that are working on opening soul food restaurants - so they brought samples of their cooking to class today. I had to try it!! So after 1 rib (I was trying to be good!!), which was excellent, I had some black eyed peas with smoked turkey sausage, cornbread, some red beans and rice and pumpkin stew. It was so good. I only had a little bit of everything. And I'm not sorry at all!! I'll have a salad for dinner!!! :)
The saga of the bike continues. It is 16 degrees here today and I went for a walk rather than get on that darn bike!!! I think there is definitely something wrong with me!!! Who knew I would be motivated to do OTHER things just to avoid the bike in the basement. Hmmmm....how strange the mind does work....
Weigh in day tomorrow!!! GO SNOW FLAKES!!

I did good all week until today too. My friend ordered grinders (here in New England that's the nickname for a submarine sandwich or hoagie or hero, etc.)- I had a medium-sized one so sort of fell off of induction but did OK with calories like you did too. :)

I was drooling after reading the food you sampled! Sounds like you had good control over it though, and if you have just a salad for dinner you should be okay. LOL about the bike saga. At least it's motivating you to exercise, even though it's not on the bike! A walk works! Keep hanging in there Sista! :)
