Had the day off Friday for Doctor and to run errands. Wasted too much time and did not get done what I needed to.

Followed up by wasted day on Saturday at a family reunion for my hubby's side of the family. (the people he was told would be there were not...so barely knew anyone there). That day I failed and ended up drinking a mountain dew. (which I haven't had in 6 months)

Yesterday was complete chaos and nothing went according to plans. My daughter's best friend was engaged on Friday night and she found out Sunday when they got together. Then they cooked up my hubby taking engagement pictures later yesterday. That completely through off the plans for the day. Did get 12 lb turkey with stuffing, mashed potatoes, corn and biscuits made. Then after trying to download pictures to cd's for the girl...baked a double batch of chocolate chip cookies for my daughter to take back to college with her. Took an hour just to bake them all. Over 18 dozen cookies completed. I lost count around 15 dozen...but I know after that I did at least another 3 dozen. 18 dozen is 216 cookies!

Had to put 12 quarts of cut up tomatoes into the freezer because I didn't have time to deal with them after getting them to that stage. I will deal with them another day when I have more time.

Son came home from weekend where he saw girlfriend that he had broken up with this summer for the first time. She was petty and vindictive and he was pretty upset. When he got home and I am sure needed to talk I was wrapped up in problems with the pictures and didn't take time with him. Then I had the cookies mixed up so I had to bake those. Daughter goes back to college today and they had to be done. I feel guilty that I didn't stop and talk with him. Now tonight I have conferences for the youngest at her school. Will have to make a point to carve out some time for him after conferences.

When does life slow down???

Sorry I rambled...just one of those mornings.

It is probably best that he has had some time to think and deal with his feelings for himself. I am sure he will welcome the time to talk with you once he is more emotionally calm and you have nothing but him on your mind. As for life calming down.... If it was calmer - you would probably be bored :) That is what I tell myslef anyway :)

Thanks Alexzwk...I have to remember that he is 23 and if he needs to talk he should tell me. I would have dropped everything and been there for him if he needed me... Or he could have talked while I baked cookies!
