Thank you everyone for the tips yesterday!! I need all the help I can get - my body is really sore.

I'm a little concerned about the yoga. When I've done yoga before, I lived by myself - so it was easy to turn the TV off, shut off the phone and focus. Living with my roommates now (ahem...aka, the parents....), it is IMPOSSIBLE to do my yoga in the morning when I want to. They are up at 4am (I AM NOT KIDDING HERE!!!) and my father is ADDICTED to the news. So it is all news all morning long. I love doing my yoga first thing in the morning. But I'm not going to be able to do this. So, I'm trying to find a time that I can do it and be focused. Tonight I did it at about 8pm. What do you guys think about that? I've always thought that yoga was something that should be done at the beginning of the day. I am concerned that it might be hard to sleep - I'll have to see. But, that's about the only time I can find "me" time to be able to do it. I wondered if anyone else ever does yoga in the evening and how that has worked for them. Let me know.

First day back on Induction. Went pretty well. I did eat a low carb tortilla tonight - everyone was having pizza, so I made one on a tortilla. I was going to try to stay away from those - but I don't really feel like it was a cheat.

They get up at 4AM?! Holy Moly! What time to they go to bed? 8pm? :) Sorry I can't help you out on the yoga. I've never done yoga. I would guess that any time would be okay, just as long as you do it! As long as you stayed under 20 NC carbs today, don't worry about that tortilla! Good job! :[)

My yoga class is 7:30 to 8:30 PM. I find I come back totally relaxed. I assume you are doing a tape or DVD? Does it have a final relaxation? If not you may want to find one separate and do that. My teacher always does a relaxation, sometimes we actually fall asleep though that is rare. She said it is a way for our bodies to truly absorb the poses we have done that day. I find I sleep BETTER after my Yogha class....hope this might help just a little.

I have always done it in the evening. It helps to quiet my brain and relax me before the night. I think it just depends on the person. And I am NOT a morning person so that might play into that too.

You could get up at 3:30 am... J/K.. LOL! Is there a way to compromise. Could he let you have the TV for 1/2 hour at 8am? I mean, do it when you can, but if you prefer to do it in the morning, maybe you can work something out. I have a yoga DVD that has an AM workout and a PM workout. The end of the PM workout is more relaxation-driven and I can literally fall asleep after doing that one. The AM one is much more invigorating. I guess it depends on the style. You probably want to wait a couple hours before going to bed if you do it at night, or do some relaxation poses at the end of it to make sure you calm down and relax. Can you play DVDs on your computer? Is there room to do yoga in your computer room? Just an idea...
