Did you get close enough to see what is in that white square in the first photo? 

Beautiful! I am loving the happy color palette in this set of photos, Lonnie! Hope you and Kevin are having a wonderful time in Montana. I am so jealous of that delicious air you guys must be breathing. 😍 

You see those insignias everywhere out here, raineybird. They usually represent the local high schools. I haven't inquired about that particular one yet, but I'd bet the local high school students got together and put it up there. 

I've found that the most popular wildflower colors in the West are yellow and purple, newname. I passed some purple alfalfa and verbena blossoms on my walk today, but I recently took nice pictures of both of them, so I didn't take more pictures of them today. I haven't seen the coneflowers growing wild before, so I just had to stop and take a picture of them. I've seen sunflowers growing all over the place up here, but not where it was convenient to take pictures, so I was happy to find one on my walk today. The air here is WONDERFUL to me, but Kevin has allergies. Sometimes the pollen upsets him, but today he's been fine. Thanks for commenting, newname. ❤

Hi Lonnie I'm sorry I missed a post about what you are doing? Did you just get a motor home and decide to travel around the country? Beautiful pictures. My Mom always loved "Big Sky" country. 

No worries, ny_shelly. Hello! My partner and I retired in 2018 and we've been RVing since then, traveling all over North America. Montana is one of our favorite places. We've been back every year so far.  

If you zoom in close @rainybird, @lonnie: the white isignia is a Large "C" with an small "HS" inside! I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess Cascade High School since Lonnie's in Cascade, MT. Awesome pics lonnie!

You're right, sk. That's a thing here for the schools out this way. You see that in almost every town. 

It's really hard to find a place in Montana that isn't spectacularly beautiful, Melgrady64. When I get to be President, I'm gonna turn the whole state into a National Park, so vote for me.
