Hi ali0678, you can an will do it. By the way I had 10 gallstones so they took the gall bladder out. What a relief. Mine was caused by too many pork pies. The pain was so great I've had 3 children which I would of had all 3 again the oain having the children was mild compared to gall bladder pain. Ali, you will feel so much better without it. It makes you want to keep your weight off. Because it's fatty and sweet food that cause the nasty stones. Do after the operation you will feel ready to start a good healthy diet. Because after the operation you can not eat for a week to let things settle. So it's a brill can't time to start good luck Ali. Best wishes Merrymel
