snack: Made a batch of oatmeal cookies! This recipe is from utuber: Connie's Rawsome Vegan Kitchen. I ate 1.5! One batch made 9 big cookies. Yum! I modified recipe just a bit by replacing vegan butter with unsweetened applesauce.

These are good! I get such a kick out of watching Connie cook! A pinch of this, a heaping cup of that she had never written down her recipe her niece encouraged Connie to share this recipe! I have never liked oatmeal raisin cookies but these are the bomb!

I love oatmeal cookies but not with raisins. Funny, I was thinking about oatmeal cookies today.

Ha! Funny but I dont like raisins in my oatmeal cookies either! Craisins I can do, or sub sunflower seeds...even healthier, since dried fruits are concentrated sweets. I agree with using unsweetened applesauce vs oil. Good job, Paula. Did you watch Dr GregerÅ› video about his new book HOW NOT TO DIET? I am watching now, EVIDENCE-BASED WEIGHT LOSS. So I did eat my raw salad prior to lunch today (I usually like my hot foods first); my hubby, who has never had a weight problem, always chooses his cold salad first. OK, back to the video...

Delgadalahna, yes I've seen Dr. Gregor's videos! He is wonderfully informative! I like Jeff Novick's lecture on Calorie density and Dr. Neal Barnard's lecture's on how to lose weight without losing your mind as well. I re-watch these while cooking to inspire me to stay on track!
