Schmetterlinge34, I have to rinse the quinoa really well prior to cooking, it helps eliminate the bitterness of the qunioa.

That wouldn't help with texture thoiugh. It feels bubbly as a mouth feel to me.

When you mix (cooked with broth and canned fire roasted tomatoes) quinoa and lentils together then on the side sauté some mushrooms and onions, wilt some spinach or kale and chop then add to lentil and quinoa, some Mexican seasoning makes great taco, burrito or tostada filling!
