Hey Everyone. I am back to eating and it feels great. My best guy friend came over last night to work on music and he was like I am hungry and I said "Ok why not, let's eat". So we went to the grocery store and he came back with a huge veggie plate which I immediately laughed at thinking aww that's sweet he is doing it for me. WRONG haha he really wanted it lol. Well either way its was positive so WIN WIN situation. We got some cheese, wine and wasa crackers and went home. Even though the food was healthy I do admit I felt really guilty and I was scared to begin eating it. However, I have begun to recognize that my relationship with food was going somewhere unhealthy, where I now looked at it as the ENEMY, so I knew I had to do this. SO I ate and had a half a glass of wine (instead of the usual 3/4 of a bottle) and I ate till the point of complete satisfaction (not stuffed) and continued my night. I was terrified to get on the scale this morning and guess what???? I had stayed the Same! YAY for me. I think this was an important step in my journey to recognize that food is not the enemy but a partner in life and like anything else it needs to be nurtured and not abused.


Great Leason. Well, Other than that I am going to Las Vegas this weekend and to be real I do expect to gain some weight but I am holding myself to no more than 2 pounds. I will report back when I get back.

Have Fun!!! And I feel the same way when I do things like that. Like right now I don't eat meat. So when I do start again I will start with fish for a couple of days than chicken breast. But I have this fear that I will gain once I start back eating meat. But I guess I will take it on day at a time.....enjoy Vegas!!!!!

Excellent lesson....and very hard to learn! I agree completely!!! I have NO idea HOW you went so long NOT eating???? Your mental strength must be amazing. And truly ones relationship WITH food is probably the biggest secret to losing...and keeping it lost!!! I , too feel THIS time (planning on being my last time) I am realizing food is NOT the enemy! It is SO needed to fuel our bodies.....make energy to burn off excess fat...give up energy to live full filling lives. BUT still such a damn struggle!!! :). I am glad you have such a supportive friend....and one who likes healthy food?!?!?! Keep him!!!! :) YOUR going to make it...I know....if your can go ten plus days with NO FOOD?!?!?! Have a AWESOME time in Vegas.....( said with a weeeee bit of jealousy!!!!) lol
