Met with my nutritionist. She suggested I was at a point where calorie counting may be hurting me (because I’m a control freak, my words) and is part of why I keep hitting such low calorie totals everyday. Suggested I try a few days just listening to my body (which I have become much more in tune with the last several months). Yesterday I felt much more calm though I was definitely using more of my mental resources on food again. Perhaps that is part of the point. My hate hate relationship with food and my desire to completely ignore it has only hurt me in the past and led to massively overeating. Giving some time and thought to food is foreign to me but necessary to make the changes in my life long term. It feels uncomfortable because it is uncomfortable. Everything requires practice. So I will practice.
