Oh today has not been what I planned at all! My dog, Blue, was bit by something this morning ... on his *ss!! So all day I've been putting warm compresses on his butt, after cleaning it and hoping it doesn't get infected. The same thing happened a couple years ago when we were in Mexico! I have no idea what kind of critter got him. He's a big dog. So weird. He's hurting. Poor baby. Keeping a close eye on him in case we need to visit the vet. Tried to get him in today but no luck.
We were going to stack wood today but that didn't happen. My husband had a kidney stone attack last night so he was sore today. I had a headache last night I woke up with this morning. We are a fine pair! I did get the laundry done. Not much else though!
So I've been counting calories pretty faithfully. Scale is down 5 lbs but the first few always come off quickly. I have a long way to go. Sort of like a "re-do." I knew this was a never ending journey but I didn't know I'd slip this far off my new path.
I'm grateful today ...
For finding Blue's woke right away For being able to get back on the scale and NOT feel like giving up. For simple joys like creamer in my decaf in the evening! For a mother who truly loves me no matter what. For a husband who I know will always stand by my side.
Another day of remembering to practice kindness to myself and gratefulness. I can do this. I can.
