This evening I took a spinning class for the first time. OMG! I couldn’t even keep up the first five minutes! At first I wanted to just stop and walk out but I was so ashamed to quit. I just sat on the bike instead of standing and tried to hang in there. I didn’t stop and my bottom is sore and bruised, it hurts!

As I was trying to keep up, I was feeling really down. I had on baggy workout pants and a huge t-shirt. All the women (except me) had on their cute little workout outfits. I felt like a cow. b BTW the guys did a great job.

Sorry to sound like such a baby, but hey this is my journal, LOL! After crying for about 30 minutes I had to realize you have to crawl before you walk. I am not going to quit and I will be back on Friday (hopefully my bottom will feel better).

Kudos for hangin' in there!! Spinning classes intimidate me SO much b/c I know how I am when I'm biking. And you're right, we have to crawl before we walk AND run! Rest up the bum, maybe sit on pillows :( Good luck on Fri!! = )

Thanks! I made a fool of myself and people did notice, but everyone was very nice. I will just make a fool of myself a couple of more times and maybe things will get better!

no matter what u felt like.. u still took a step a lot of people wont.. you DID IT... wheni was at my biggest i stayed to myself at the gym and would never join a class... congratulations on that first step.. andwish u luck on ur next class! u won't need it.. just determination to do it ;)

It IS brutal!! Great job on not walking out! It's all about taking baby steps. So proud of you buddy! :)
