BG 115, steps 11008 ; Finally sitting for a minute. I was happy to record a 3 lb drop in weight this morning, YAY! I had to pick up some things at the store today so I walked down to shop and took the bus back which got me my hour walk in. The temp was pefect for walking, only about 63. It'll be warming up soon though so I'll have to change my routine to get my walks in. Now, I better get that salad made!

Look at you! A 3 pound drop. congrats! I don't think I could walk for an hour at this point, but I do my shopping with a cart, walking. I don't ride that awful electric cart, even when my knees and hips are screaming. My personal philosophy is that big people who use that cart would be better off walking around, pushing/leaning on their cart. lol I spent some serious money on shoes yesterday. I actually got good ones that support me. I also bought a wii the day before and got the fit program and The Biggest Loser program. I'm still trying to figure them out. lol Keep it up, woman. We 'more mature ladies' will show 'em all how it's done!

I remember the times I HAD to ride the carts because my legs wouldn't move and was in danger of falling. I hated it when I had to. I was much more inclined to want to try and walk as much as possible, leaning on my cart when I could. What kind of shoes did you get? The Wii sounds like a really great investment. Sounds like fun too! Honestly though, during the last half of my walk yesteray, my hips, knees and feet were hurting enough I was slightly limping the rest of the way. I sat on the bench at the store for a bit before shopping. This morning YOU KNOW I'm feeling it lol!! You're right though, Lavinnia. We'll show 'em how it's done! All they're gonna see from us is OUR DUST!!!

And they will EAT OUR DUST!!!! I know exactly what you mean about the hips and knees. Mine hurt so much sometimes that I just sit and cry! I do have to say though that those times are getting less as I lose more weight. As for shoes, I got some Sketchers Shape Ups, and they are phenomenal. My 22 year old daughter in law is a pharmacy student and pharm tech and is on her feet all day. She has spent a small fortune on chiropractic fees for her back. She finally got a pair last week, and hasn't had a twinge in her feet or back since!

Wow - I'm impressed. Great idea to substitute the walk for the bus ride. I'm trying to just incorporate more movement into my days!
