Andrew, from context I’m certain they meant they “have to try this”, and the same auto correct that you used to sarcastically excuse your rude, inappropriate language, a simple error in typing, or a difference in culture or dialect is the reason “hath” was used. Hath is an actual word that is correct in the sentence that was written; it is the archaic form of “have”. 

Dost thou dare to lay blame at the foot of thy most innocent auto-correct, villainous troll?  

I am not much of an oatmeal person, but I might give this a try. I like bananas and the sprinkle of nuts makes it appealing.
