Side effects of my new antidepressants include my appetite increasing which is obviously just what I need 🙄😭

So sick of the struggle, reached a plateau in my weight loss and now I’m probably gna start gaining cz of my meds...can’t even start exercising cz I also feel nauseous on top of always being hungry

Stray strong ! have you tried ginger tea for the nausea? it really helped me through the initial stages of nausea caused by meds, Stoney zero also helped (although I dislike diet cooldrink) just to settle my stomach, fight the nausea and help with the dry mouth meds caused. You are doing so well so just keep on doing what you are an to do , even when it feels like two steps forward one step back at times, movement is progress .

Calories is calories.. depends really on what those calories are made of. Eating a half jar of peanutbutter is a lot of calories.. but if you eat those same amount of calories and it was say, mixed roasted veggies and good protein like chicken of beef or pork. Side salad with tomatoes, onions and avo … the same amount of calories but eating good calories which contains vitamins. If you got to chow down, make sure it's good stuff.

I know how you feel. I'm on meds that affect my weight. Your body will get used to the meds, but you must take them with or after a decent meal - not just a piece of fruit or a snack otherwise you'll feel very nauseous. Don't expect to lose fast. Eat good protein with salads/ veg, cut right down on sugar, eat 3 decent meals a day with small snacks in between. That might help for the nausea also. These kinds of meds must be taken with a proper meal. Don't give up. It can be done. One step at a time.
