How many carbs are you really supposed to eat a day on a low carb diet?

this depends on what diet you are going for. Keto and atkins are more strict and restricts carbs to get into ketosis, a general low carb diet is more healthy eating and not concerned with ketosis. Just reduced carb and reduced calories. they all cut out junk food and sugar.

I would say generally somewhere between 20 and 35 and even some can get by with up to 50, it depends on your body. But the best carbs to consume are vegetables and whole grains! Good luck!

The last controlled low carb diet I was on, we consumed 20 to 25 carbs a day. I lost weight fairly fast but I couldnt stick to it in the long run. Some people do net carbs which you minus off the fiber from the carb count and I think then, they do 50 NET carbs a day. That seems easier to me and doing my research on it. Found out thats an option to watch on this site too, so I added it. Good Luck!

To loose weight you have to eat 150g or less in carbs and 25g or less in sugar. I forgot wher I read this but it's what I've been following and so far it's working. I've lost 15 lbs in 17 days. If you google it you should find the information. Good Luck!!

Everyone is different and it depends on what your body will tolerate. Dieting is not a race. It's a marathon. When I started I did so by cutting back carbs by 1/3, then 1/2. Slowing working down more each week. If you plan to go all the way to Keto it's 20 net carbs per day. But that's very restricted and most people have trouble sticking to 20. Just cut out all the junk and crappy processed carbs first and see how well you do. Later on you can remove more if necessary. If you stuck with fresh foods and avoid processed foods you will do well.
