I was doing about 1800 calories a day until I spoke with my doctor, who said I should be doing 1500 or less (but not less than 1200). Jeez, now what? I looked into Shakeology and it's $119 for a one month supply (that's one shake for 30 days!). Holy crap. I've got some old Slim Fast in the cabinet. I'm thinking about blowing the dust off of it.

Unless your doctor is a nutritionist, does he really know how many calories you need in order to lose? I think it's one of those common sense things. If you are losing on 1800 calories a day and not hungry, then keep doing that. When it slows down, then cut some calories. I have heard some crazy diet ideas from doctors and many of them have been overweight. Do what is best for you. Good luck!
